Safeguarding that lives in the same record as the session.

From the first concern to the closed case, every step owned, dated and kept, beside the sessions and the young person it is about.

For safeguarding leads

From the first concern to the closed case.

A mentor raises a concern from the session they are writing up. It reaches your safeguarding lead the same day, is owned and acted on as case work, and stays in the young person's history with everything that was done.

Raising it

  • A concern from the sessionRecord what was seen, heard or told, so the right person knows today. On the tablet, the website or a short phone form.
  • Low-level concernsNote worrying conduct that is not yet an allegation, then escalate it or close it with a reason.
  • Accidents and incidentsAn accident record or a staff incident report, signed, so a pattern can be spotted later.
  • Your own categoriesAdd your own categories, the questions each one asks, and who sees and hears about each.

Owning it

  • A queue that shows what comes firstOverdue follow-ups first, then the oldest or the most serious.
  • Read, owned and decidedSay you have read a new concern, and record who holds it and what was decided.
  • Case workJoin related concerns, give dated actions to named people, check progress and keep every outcome.

Taking it further

  • LADO referralsRecord an allegation about an adult who works with children, and track it from draft to close.
  • NRM referralsDraft a national referral for a child showing signs of exploitation, and record its outcome.
  • Children missing from educationAn alert when a child has missed ten school days in a row, so the council can be told.
  • CP files that follow the childLog a child protection file's transfer to the next provider, dispatch it and record its receipt.
