Accessibility statement
Daymello is used by mentors, managers and safeguarding leads, and is read by families and commissioners. It should work for every one of them, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
What we aim for
We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What the website does
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page.
- Every link, button and form field can be used with a keyboard, and shows a clear outline when it has focus.
- The moving picture at the top of the home page has no sound. A keyboard reaches a button to pause it straight after the chapter buttons, and screen readers announce it. Its chapters are buttons with written captions, so nothing is told by the film alone.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, or you have data saving turned on, a still picture shows instead of the film.
- Text is real text, not pictures of text, so it can be enlarged, read aloud and translated.
What we know is not right yet
- The website has not yet had an independent accessibility audit. Until it has, this statement is our own assessment.
- Some older pages use their own layout rather than the site's, and may not yet match it for spacing and text size.
